Locket lost in the wet grass
In spite of the boisterous party the evening before but now it was 3 a.m in the morning. The stragglers that were still left behind had stayed on with the excuse “it’s raining too heavily for anybody to make that last decisive dash across the wet grass lawn to the parked car.” And now hopping between the rain puddles everybody ran across the wet lawn to get to their waiting cars. Me too, I was there, among them the last of those stragglers. It was then that I spotted it in the flickering light from my flash lamp. The heavy feet of the person in front of me had just missed it by a few inches. In the semi darkness and almost hidden by the bending blades of the wet glass and I believe it was the drops of water flashing in the torch light that shone like little stars that had drawn my attention to it. The locket had obviously belonged to one of the guests when she ran to avoid getting too wet but who was it I left that mystery to my hosts to figure...
Artist and Printmaker After art school came to Paris in the early eighties where for 10 years worked at the well known Stanley William Hayer's printmaking studio for contemporary viscosity etchings and engravings the *Atelier 17*. Now have moved to Angers in the famous valley de Loire and have set my own indépendant atelier where I do mostly digital paintings and also developed a new technique for prints based on new media and using of the chine collé method. The latest works too are in the New Media method but without the chin collé.
